Finding a Home by the Sea explores the essence of "dwelling." The life of a hermit crab, spent constantly searching for and exchanging shells, serves as a profound metaphor for the human pursuit of stability within a shifting environment. This dynamic landscape creation on the Pearl Coast treats environmental elements as organic subjects: the work’s appearance is measured by daily tides, its structure adjusted to the site’s topography, and its presence synchronized with seasonal ecological cycles and wind patterns.

This project is an ecological art intervention that reconnects humanity and the land through intensive labor and physical practice. Here, artistry is not merely a static visual display but a dynamic process where the work acts as an "organic living entity" coexisting with the ever-changing natural landscape. Situated at the junction of the shingle beach and the breakwater near the intertidal zone, the installation utilizes large boulders to stabilize its base. As it interacts with sea breezes and high-tide water levels, the work manifests a unique juxtaposition of man-made and natural environments, reflecting a symbiotic dialogue with the coast.
